Bible in 90 Days: No Longer Orphans!

We were in John a couple days ago and these words just blew me away ...

12. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - 13. children born not of natural descent, nor human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.  John 1:13-14

We are not orphan's. Nope. Not when we choose Christ. We become children of God, children of the King, Sons and Daughters! Absolutely. And, what an amazing breath of fresh air. God is our Father and He is perfect and He loves us perfect and He ONLY does what is good on our behalf and He delights in His children's success. He can not be compared with any earthly Fathers, those who are less than great and those who are, by earthly measure, awesome Dads. Why? We all fall short, but NOT God. Never God.

I am not an orphan, I am a Daughter of the King! Selah!

* And, in case you are looking to read up some more on this amazing truth, I would recommend "Sons and Daughters" by Brady Boyd.

Just A Swingin'

I'm thinking there is not much better than a swing. Swinging makes people calm, makes people smile, there's always a breeze coming your way, gives you a moment to rest and reflect or visit with some sweet someone (if it's a porch swing) or just smell the coffee. Swinging brings joy and laughter. I'm in! Our swinging beauties ...

Southern Promiseland ...

I LOVE the Fall. I LOVE it! And, one of the last things we did in Biloxi was to visit the corn maze at the "Southern Promiseland Farm" just outside of Gulfport, Mississippi. What I especially loved is that it is called the Promise Land because it is for me a reminder that we were moving into the season of the Promised Land that God has for our family. Love how God just jumps up and encourages His children that way!

Very cool "merry-ride-round."

Brings great joy when powered by an awesome big sister!

Shooting at the "Corn Cannon."

Even Mom took a gander at it.

And, none of us made it. Not as easy as it appears!

Petting the animals ... so fun! Goats, pigs, a horse, and chickens.

It's a blurry photo, but so fun! Dad and the bigs about to conquer the corn maze!

Will they find the clues and figure out the maze?

I love this picture. Reminds me that our focus is on the "Tree of Life" and not the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil." Follow the "Tree of Life!"

Mommy and me on the little train.

LOVED the slide!

Our beauties on the hayride!

Self-portrait (with the camera) of me and my amazing mister!

Just thought this was way quaint!

Yep, they're a-growing.

And, yes, they won the maze "investigation!"

Oh, and P.S., I know this is from October, but remember the little glitch with the photo's. :)

Cruising the Coast 2012

So, I have fixed my issue with Picasa today ... finally ... and can now blog again! Hallelujah! :) Here is some more "Cruising the Coast" fun. These cars are EVERYWHERE for a week and some are just plain funky and fun. Enjoy!

I've seen many an RV, but none so very cool as this one! ;)

This car reminds me of the truck, we lovingly referred to as the "Old Jalopy Truck" that my Paw-Paw had. Miss that fun old truck. Miss my sweet Paw-Paw even more!

Guess you can't have a car show without a monster show. Love this man and love these girls.

'Mater!

He's even got some fuzzy dice!

Made me think of Al Capone!

I want one of these!

Our friends from Louisiana who came to the car show and camped next to us for two years. The girls all loved playing together for the week. No surprise they homeschool, too! :)

Enough Said!

* A wee bit of truthful humor as I try to figure out how to add more storage to my Picassa without live web help, thus allowing me to continue blogging my stories. Grrrr ... :)

Bible in 90 Days: The Word is Life!

So, today we completed Day 64. There is much I could write about since my last post and will at some point, but tonight what struck me was this verse in Daniel:

"...I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet ...."  Daniel 9:2

Why? Because Daniel studied the Word to see what God had planned, in store, what He said, what He wanted, to know how He loved, what is God's character and how He was faithful. Exactly the reasons we need to read the scripture and pursue a love relationship with the Lord. Because He loves us with a fierce and everlasting love when we are His. Selah!

Preview of Cruising the Coast 2012

Here's a little preview of "Cruising the Coast 2012." One of the last events we were present for in Biloxi. Fun! However, I'm having technical difficulties getting the rest of the photo's uploaded. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue the story tomorrow! :)

Staight out of "Grease!"

Yep, my hubby was reminiscing when he and his brother pretended they were Beau and Luke Duke!
